Preaching at First United Methodist Church in Spring Hill Florida

On Sunday, May 24 I had the opportunity to preach at my parent's church, First United Methodist Church of Spring Hill, Florida. Pastor Bill McLoud and the congregation made me feel very welcome. I preached on one of my favorite passages of the cost of discipleship, Matthew 16:24-27 where Jesus says, "If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Me will find it. What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in His Father's glory with His angels and then He will reward each person according to what he has done." As I preached through this passage, I could visibly see on the faces of many of the people in the congregation that the Lord was working in their hearts. When I gave the invitation for people to come forward to the altar to surrender their lives to Christ, many came forward during the hymn I surrender all and knelt at the altar and prayed. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness in drawing people to Himself. I am grateful for how the Lord moved and for the open door to preach the Gospel at First United Methodist Church in Spring Hill. Please pray that the Lord will open more doors for me to preach in churches in the US in the near future.

We are moving on Saturday, August 16

Please pray for us as Emily, John and I will be moving on Saturday. We will move into our new home in Lake St. Louis. Pray for the Lord's peace as we are packing and moving both our home and office.
